Discipleship Training School (DTS)

The YWAM Canberra Discipleship Training School (DTS) is your launch pad into life and ministry. DTS is a 5-6 month program blending classroom learning, small group activities, personal reflection, practical service, and community living. The course begins with a 3-month lecture phase and concludes with a cross-cultural practical outreach. Most people find DTS to be the most intense growth period of their lives!

FRONTIER ADVENTURE DTS

LECTURE PHASE
(February 8 - May 1, 2026)

Weekly national or international speakers
- Small group processing times
- One-on-one discipleship
- Corporate prayer and worship
- Local outreach
 
OUTREACH PHASE
(May2 - July 5)

Cross cultural ministry experience
- National/ International travel
- Partner with established ministries nationally or internationally
- Includes thorough debrief and processing time
- Graduation
 
COMMUNITY LIVING WITHIN A MISSIONAL COMMUNITY

Course Fees

$2900 (LECTURE PHASE)

+

$4000 -$5000 (OUTREACH PHASE)

This includes full board (food, accommodation, Wi-Fi, etc.) and tuition, as well as team outreach costs.
 
The Certificate III in Discipleship (11290NAT) is an approved vocational training course; trainees could be eligible to apply for Youth Allowance or AusStudy.

Graduate with a YWAM DTS (Certificate III in Discipleship 11290NAT), ministry experience and the opportunity to pursue second level schools within YWAM and/or to join YWAM staff.

 


Training completed at YWAM Canberra provides credits towards degrees with the University of the Nations. See the University of the Nations website for more information.
